Sholay means fire. In this particular movie, a Police Officer, who family was killed by a bandit named Gabbar Singh, decides to fight fire with fire and recruits two convicts, Jai and Veeru. Sholay is directed by Ramesh Sippy and stars Amitabh Bacchan, Dharmendra, Hema Malini, Sanjeev Kumar and Jaya Bhaduri as major roles.
This movie is also said as "The greatest star cast ever assembled.......The greatest story ever told". I cannot find a single flaw in the movie which is my personal thinking and as it would be of true Hindi cinema fans. Music of Sholay is loved by many people. Therfore I have got it for you.Enjoy

Jab We Met seems to be pretty well liked already. It's been requested so many times. So here it is. It's a film by Imtiaz Ali and stars Shahid Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor and Dara Singh in major roles. I have no clue what the plot is, neither have I listened to the songs yet. Music of JWM is a collaborative work of Sandesh Shandilya and Prittam. Enjoy!

Bollywood songs | Tare Zameen Par (2007)

This movie is Aamir Khan's directorial debut Taare Zameen Par stars himself in the lead role alongside Tanay Chheda, Tisca Chopra, Vibha Sharma, and Darsheel Safary. I'm sure a lot of you have been eagerly waiting for this. Aamir is also the producer of this film. We all know that he is a control freak when it comes to his movies and has had problems with his previous directors and producers. So this time he's taken control of everything to make sure the final product is exactly what he wants. I hope it pays off well.

Music of TZP is directed by Shankar Ehsaan Loy. I enjoyed this movie very much. It's spectacular as you can't control your tears falling from your eyes. I hope you enjoy them more than I did.

It's finally here everyone. Music of Jodhaa Akbar is released and it is absolutely superb. A.R. Rehman definitely has picked his top tunes for this movie. The best songs have to be Jashn-E-Bahaara and Azeem-O-Shaan Shahenshah which have been the backbone of all the promo clips of the film.

Jodhaa Akbar is directed by Ashutosh Gowariker and stars Hrithik Roshan as the Mughal Emperor Akbar and Aishwarya Rai as Jodhabai, the Rajput princess. It's tells the story of how Akbar married Jodhaa for political reasons but later fell in love with her. I can't wait to watch this film. It's set to release on 25 February. Enjoy the music..

Bollywood songs | Ta Ra Rum Pum (2007)

Ta Ra Rum Pum is a film Siddharth Anand, director of Salaam Namaste, and stars Saif Ali Khan, Rani Mukerjee, Jaaved Jaffrey, Shruti Seth and Victor Banerjee. It's about the life a race car driver and his family, how the ups and downs in his career affects his life and family's, and how they tackle the down moments. I think it is to be released on 27th April.

The music of TaRa Rum Pum is by Vishal & Shekhar, who also did Salaam Namaste's music. This is another good addition to their portfolio. This one has a treat for kids which is the title song. The video of it has got some cool animation which kids will love. Hope you like this album.

Bollywood songs | Dhoom 2 (2007)

Here it is boys and girls, Dhoom 2 is up! One of the most anticipated movies of the year is this film starring Abhishek Bachchan, Hritik Roshan, Aishwarya Rai, Rimi Sen, Bipasha Basu and Uday Chopra. It is directed by Sanjay Gadhvi.

The music director is, as I've mentioned before, Pritam. I haven't listened to 'em yet, as I was hurrying to post it here first. Tell what you guys think about it.

PS. It is rumored that they will make Dhoom 3 too, and the bad guy's role will be played by Shahrukh Khan. I hope this isn't just a rumor.

Ladies and gentlemen, the wait is over!!! Music of King Khan's latest movie, Chak De India, is here! In this film Shahrukh Khan plays the role of the coach of national hockey team, who takes his team in to World Cup. It is directed by Shmit Amin. Vidya Malvade also plays a major role in film, I think that of a hockey player who dreams of playing for the National Team. Just a guess. Chak De India is one of the major movies of the year under the Yash Raj Movies banner, and it's produced by the Chopras. BTW, this is SRK's first muslim role and accroding to IMDB.com, he grew the beard in order to look more muslim-like.

The music directors of Chak De are Salim and Sulaiman Merchant. I personally like the songs from this film, except the parts sung by SRK himself ;) They have done a good job. I hope you like it too.

Bollywood songs | Partner (2007)

Based on the Will Smith starring Hollywood film Hitch, Partner features Salman Khan, Govinda, Lara Dutta, and Katrina Kaif in the leading roles. It is directed by David Dhawan. Here Sallu is the 'love guru' which leaves Govinda to be the one who needs a make-over to win one of the leading ladies' heart. It's meant to be a comedy film, and I hope that the makers have loaded it with some nice and smart jokes. We've had a little too much of stupid jokes recently, mostly last year.

The man responsible for the music of Partner is Sajid Wajid. It's a pretty fast-paced and loud album with too much bass. If you have a good sound system, big subs with a good amplifier, you can blow your roof off with these songs. And I think that's all they can do, they're neither lyrically good nor musically exceptional. Just loud and in your face, rather in your ear drums. No award nominations for Wajid this year. Have a listen yourselves, and see what I mean.

Bollywood songs | Apne (2007)

Apne is a film directed by Anil Sharma and stars Dharmendra and his two sons, Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol, alongside Katrina Kaif and Shelpa Shetty. It's the first film to feature Dharmendra and his to sons together. It's a family film, probably with lots of tears and sorrows and hopefully not with a story already told. We've had too much of that. Daddy's Girl has a wonderful blog, In Praise of All Things Dharmendra. Chech it out whether you are a Dharmendra/Sunny/Bobby fan or not. It's a fun blog, a really nice read.

Music of Apne is composed by the widely love and hated director, Himesh Reshammiya. I'm personally in the 'hate' pole in regards with his music, and voice. It's a typical Himesh album, with a lot of the songs in his own voice. I do think Dekhoon Tujhe To Pyaar Aaye could have been much better if it was sung by someone else. Actually all songs could've been better, but that particular song has potential in my mind. But thanks to Himesh, I don't like it. I hope you are from 'love' end of his fan spectrum and enjoy this album.

Bollywood songs | Aaja Nachle (2007)

Madhuri Dixit is back! Aaja Nachle marks the return of our favorite Bollywood actress. Madhuri hasn't appeared in any movie since 2002 (Devdas and Hum Tumhare Hai Sanam) and she's back with a bang. At least makers of Aaja Nachle think so. The film's other leading casts include Ranvir Shorey, Irfaan Khan, Konkona Sen Sharma, Kunal Kapoor, Akshaye Khanna, Divya Dutta, and Vinay Pathak. The film is directed by Anil Mehta.

Music of Aaja Nachle is directed by the Merchant brothers, Salim and Sulaiman. I haven't had a listen to any of the songs yet. I'm hoping it's good, because Madhuri definitely deserves a comeback that's perfect from every aspect. I'm really looking forward to see more of her.

Sarhad Paar - A New Dawn is a recently released patriotic film by Raman Kumar and stars Sanjay Dutt, Chandrachur Singh, Mahima Chaudhary, Tabu and Rahul Dev. It hasn't seen much of a success in the BoxOffice so far, as the Movie Toic guys would put it, "Paisa Barbaad"!

The music director of Sarhad Paar is Anand Raj Anand. I found it to be a pretty average album, the best song being BLABLAH. Don't hasitate to tell me us what you think. I hope you like the songs.

Bollywood songs | 1971(2007)

While you are still in the mood for patriotic songs (even though the previous one didn't have many) here is another one. 1971 is a film set during/right after (not sure :D) the 1971 war between India and Pakistan, and it is about the struggle of a group of Indian prisoners who are escaping the Pakistani camp. 1971 stars Manoj Bajpai, Chittaranjan Giri, Deepak D, Kumud Mishra, Manav Kaul and Ravi Kishan. The director of the film is Amrit Sagar.

Akash Sagar is the music director. Since I haven't had a chance to listen to the songs of 1971, I can't say anything about 'em. I hope you you like them enough to share them with others.

Even thought I am not Indian myself, I have enjoyd Hindi songs and they have been an important part of my life. I have some very good and bad memories associated with certain Hindi songs and maybe that's what make them so important for me.

I know there are a lot of Hindi music lovers out there searching the net all the time for downloads, so I have decided to help them by providing them the songs.

I hope you enjoy what you will find here from now, I kow I will enjoy sharing them.

Bollywood songs | How to Download Videos

Required tool/software:
It's my favorite media player, RealPlayer v11. In the new version the wonderful people at Real Networks have implemented a new feature, and that is the ability to download web videos very easily AND play them.

You can download it from HERE, just scroll down that page and download the BASIC PLAYER.

You can also buy the full featured one but that's up to you.After you download the RealPlayer 11 and install it, here is how you use it to download videos:

Step 1:
Once installed, this program adds a plugin for your browser (Internet Explorer or Firefox) and whenever you are watching a video, just hover over it with you mouse and a "Download This Video" button will appear on top of the video (like in the image below) . Click on it.

If the button doesnt appear, don't panic. Just right click anywhere on the video and choose "Download This Video To RealPlayer" as shown below.

Step 2:
After you've done step 1, RealPlayer will start downloading your chosen video and a new window will appear to show the progess, like this:

As you can see, you have the options of both pausing the download and canceling it if you are not happy with it for some reason.

Step 3:
When the download is complete, you will see this:

You can obviously play the downloaded video by clicking the 'Play' link or from the download folder. (Note: Clicking 'Remove' or 'Clear' button will only delete the video from the download list, not from your computer) By default, RealPlayer downloads all your videos in a folder called "RealPlayer Downloads" inside your "My Videos" folder which is inside "My Documents" (See the image below):

That's it, you have downloaded your video! One thing you need to notice is that videos downloaded from YouTube or from this site will all be in .flv format. Normally you'd have to download a separate FLV Player for that, but not anymore. RealPlayer can both download and play not only .flv videos but almost any other video format. You can download quicktime, .wmv (Windows Media Video), .rm (Real Media), .swf (Flash), plus many more formats that I can't remember. RealPlayer 11 is that cool!! You should already know that the songs you download from this site are all in .rm format which are also playable by RealPlayer (.rm is their own audio format :D).

NOTE: Some websites, like Atom.com, have protected videos which can't be download. In that case you will see something like this:
Yep, video can't be downloaded. Apart from the few sites with protected videos, you can download videos off of any site; YouTube, Google videos, Bebo, MySpace, SpikedHumor, Apple videos, or any other site you can find.There are MANY ways to download videos from YouTube, but I chose RealPlayer because it can do so much more! The installing part will take only a few minutes, but once it's installed it's there for you all the time. Just click the download button. I hope this tutorial and RealPlayer 11 prove to be useful for you. If not, you can use sites lik DonwloadYoutubeVideos.com where you enter the URL/address of your video and they provide you with a download link. But that's only limited to Youtube and a few other famous sites. And you'll still need to install .flv player if you don't have one. Bollywood songs | How to convert RM to MP3

This tutorial teaches you how to convert .rm files into mp3s. Read on to find out about the software required for this task, where to get it and how to use it.

Software/Tool Required:

Switch Sound File Conversion Software
Switch is a free audio coversion tool. It supports conversion of many format into one another, but what we need to know is that it CAN convert .rm to mp3. There is a Plus version that you can upgrade to for $US19.40 which will unlock some advanced features. You can read more about it at their website. For the purpose of this tutorial the free version is perfect and there is no need for an upgrade.

NOTE: The free version will have all the advanced features for 14 days from the day you install the software. After that trial period, the advanced features will be deactivated and every once in a while you will be asked to upgrade. Don't worry about that, just click 'NO' or 'Cancel' everytime you are asked to upgrade and you will be fine.

Use the link above to download Switch. Run the downloaded file by double-clicking and simply follow the on-screen instructions to install it on your hard drive.

How to use Switch:

You can use Switch to convert files one at a time, or convert multiple files at once. Here are the steps to convert one/multiple files:

1. First add files to the queue by clicking either the 'Add File(s)' or 'Add Folder' button (see image below). They both serve the same purpose, with the difference that the first allows you to choose the files you want and the second enables you to add all the contents of a folder to the queue.
   


2. Now that you have added your files, you need to choose the Output Folder, the folder where Switch will save the converted files. Click the button labelled as ' ... ' (see image below) and choose your desired folder.
   
3. Choose .mp3 (or any format you prefer) as the Output Format from the dropdown menu as shown in the image below.

4. Finally, click the 'Convert' button at the top right corner to get the job done.

When you click Convert, a little window (like the one below) will pop up, which shows you what is being done. You can cancel the process by clicking the 'Cancel' button (Dah!). The window will disappear once files are converted.

There are many other commercial softwares that can do this task, but some may not be comfortable with the price tag they come with.I hope you find this tutorial (my first one ever) useful. Behold ladies and gentlemen! Music of the biggest movie of the year is here, and I am absolutely thrilled to say that you and I are among the very first to listen to them. As you already know, Om Shanti Om is the highly expected movie by Farah Khan starring the one and only Shahrukh Khan along with Deepika Padukone, Shreyas Talpade, Arjun Rampal and Kiron Kher playing the important roles. So far I know only what you all know about the film, if you have seen the trailers that is. Shahrukh is presented with an all new look, amazingly ripped body with stunning six-packs and a new hair style. There's also another treat in store for us all, more than 30 big names of Bollywood are to feature in one of the songs!! What else can we say except THANK YOU FARAH AND SHAHRUKH FOR ANOTHER GREAT FILM!!!

Music of Om Shanti Om is directed by the wonderful duo Vishal-Shekhar. I'm listening to Dard-e-Disco as I'm writing this and it's a superb song. I have listened to all of them, and I absolutely love them (most, not of 'em ;p). Great music and great lyrics penned down by Javed Aktar himself. SO don't wait and start downloading!!!!
